Cristo is our hope for the future. He is very quirky, funny, and a momma’s boy, but loves to “keep order” in the canyon.

He made a good start on his show career by finishing his ARBA championship with many Group 1’s, a Reserve Best in Show & a Best in Show. He was the #1 PPP and #7 dog in ARBA, all breeds, in 2008. He also won Best Bred in America at the 2008 US National Podengo Specialty (all sizes & breeds)

In summer 2008 he became the 1st American bred podengo compete in the country of origin, wining the CAC - QC at the Monográfica (International Podengo Specialty held annually in Portugal) and other required CACs at the major shows in Lisbon, Sintra and Estoril to become the 1st US bred podengo to earn the most prestigious Portuguese Champion Title.

Now after a break of a few years, he’s back in the show ring, competing in AKC Miscellaneous class since Jan 2011, winning Best of Breed or Best of Opposite sex in every outing, and Best in Show Miscellaneous Class (with competition) under Judge Jane Ropollo at the SilverBay Kennel Club show

He has also sired some very promising puppies, 6 of which are already champions, 2 in Europe and 4 here in the USA. His grand-daughter is the 1st PPPequeno to earn an AKC Certificate of Merit.  We are very proud of him!
