This is the one who started it all. Donzela came to us from Miguel Sabino’s Viamonte Kennel in Leiria Portugal in November 2001. We are so grateful to Miguel for entrusting her to us, and for all of our conversations about breeding podengos.
A most amazing dog, full of poise and personality! Everyone who saw her said, “What kind of dog is that?”
She is the dam of the 1st US born Champion podengos, both male and female: Bruno da Casa de Maio (owner: Mary Turnberg) and Amália da Casa de Maio (owner: Marilyn Piurek)
